BICS boosts Google Cloud partnership to deliver global PSTN and cloud communications for enterprises

BICS has extended its collaboration with Google Cloud to strengthen cloud-based communications for enterprises, positioning itself as a global provider of PSTN connectivity across more than 40 countries.

The move enables businesses to transition away from legacy telephony systems towards fully cloud-based voice solutions embedded within Google’s ecosystem, including Google Workspace and Google Voice.

By integrating BICS’ global network infrastructure with Google’s collaboration tools, enterprises can standardise communications across international operations while improving scalability, reliability and security.

The partnership targets multinational organisations seeking consistent Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) coverage, as well as contact centres looking to modernise customer engagement through cloud-native platforms. Google will refer enterprise customers to BICS for PSTN replacement and cloud-based numbering services, with onboarding managed through a streamlined referral process.

Under the model, Google’s software operates over BICS’ telephony layer in a “bring your own carrier” approach.

For example, enterprises using Google Voice will route calls via BICS’ network, leveraging its numbering and voice capabilities behind the scenes.

Seckin Arikan said: “Partnering with Google to enhance cloud communications is a seismic moment for BICS and the culmination of years of hard work building industry-leading global networks.

“This agreement reinforces our role in enabling enterprise-grade voice connectivity across the world. It also shows the strategic importance of hyperscaler partnerships for seamless, cloud-based communication solutions. We are delighted to be one of Google’s chosen few carriers trusted to bring our expertise to enterprise customers at a global scale.”

The agreement further cements BICS’ position among a select group of global carriers supporting hyperscaler ecosystems. The company’s footprint includes more than 450 direct mobile network operator relationships and over 150 million connected devices worldwide, alongside billions of monthly voice and data interactions.

The collaboration will also introduce joint visibility initiatives, including dedicated landing pages across both companies’ platforms.
