Christos Karmis has been appointed group CEO of Boldyn Networks effective immediately and will play a critical role in scaling the company’s connectivity growth.

Boldyn Networks has announced Christos Karmis as its new group chief executive officer to lead the company’s next phase of growth and long-term value creation.

The company, which is currently one of the world’s largest neutral host providers, is committed to global growth and views Karmis as the best person to oversee this transformation. Currently serving as CEO of Boldyn Newtorks US, Karmis will continue overseeing this large market under his new global leadership role.

He will replace Igor Leprince as CEO, who will remain with the business until the end of March to support the transition.

Speaking on his appointment, Karmis said: “I am honoured to take on the role of Group CEO at such a pivotal time for Boldyn. We have a strong global organisation supported by highly experienced teams across all our markets. I look forward to working more closely with colleagues around the world as we focus on delivering the next generation of connectivity solutions for our customers.”

He added: “We will continue to build on our people‑focused culture, spirit of innovation, and relentless customer focus that has established Boldyn as the industry leader.”

With more than two decades of experience in wireless communications and infrastructure innovation, Karmis first joined Boldyn in 2021 after the company’s acquisition of Mobilitie, where he worked as president and CEO. He was well-known for his success in transforming Mobilitie into one of the largest privately held wireless infrastructure providers in the US and helped it integrate successfully into Boldyn Networks (formerly BAI Communications), which strengthened the Group’s position across North America.

Karmis became CEO of Boldyn Networks US after the Mobilitie acquisition, where he oversaw a period of substantial expansion across the business. Boldyn has delivered some of the most advanced high-capacity shared networks in the industry under his leadership, as he helped expand its presence across major venues, transportation hubs and large public and private campuses.

Boldyn said Karmis’ customer‑first, performance‑driven approach has fuelled Boldyn’s growth in new sectors and use cases and supports billions of people every year.

“Christos has been instrumental in shaping Boldyn into the global shared infrastructure leader it is today. His entrepreneurial spirit, operational discipline and customer first approach have driven outstanding results in the US,” said Steve Pusey, chair of Boldyn Networks’ board of directors.

“The Board is confident that his leadership will propel Boldyn forward as we continue to scale, innovate and deliver essential connectivity for our customers and communities.”
