The event brings together executives, carriers, hyperscalers, investors and innovators from across LATAM and around the globe.
Structured to spark partnerships, close deals and align cross-border strategies, Capacity LATAM brings together the most influential names shaping the future of digital infrastructure across the region.
Join the companies shaping the future of cloud, AI, data centres and energy, with attendees including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Meta, Google, Claro, Embratel, Telefónica, Telecom Argentina, Ufinet, KIO, Ascenty, Elea, and more.
Attendees can expect a mix of keynotes, panel discussions, expert briefing and dedicated tracks covering subsea, connectivity, cloud and AI-ready data centres, energy, ESG and investment, all designed to address LATAM’s most urgent digital infrastructure challenges.
Collaboration being a growth strategy
A core theme for the event is the idea that no single player can meet LATAM’s digital demand alone. Building fibre networks, subsea cables and data centres require shared investment and shared planning.
At the event, speakers will explore how these partnerships can reduce risk and speed up deployment, especially in markets outside the biggest cities.
Alongside this, collaboration is also becoming increasingly important, governments now see digital infrastructure as strategic, not just technical. As a result, companies must work not only with each other but also with regulators and public institutions.

Data centres and cloud growth
Another central theme for the event, known for where LATAM’s digital infrastructure deals get done, is the rapid growth of hyperscale data centres, alongside cloud adoption being accelerated as businesses migrate systems online and governments expand their digital services.
Providers like AWS, Google and Microsoft are driving demand for new facilities across Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Chile, which are also gaining traction. According to Elena Winters, VP of international business at Elea Data Centers, who is keynoting at the event:
“Mexico is a close second, particularly the Querétaro market,” she recently told Capacity. “Chile is attractive for renewable energy, and Colombia is next, though power costs are higher.”
This comes as operators are investing more in metro fibre and upgrading long-distance routes to handle rising traffic, with sessions at the event on data centres focusing on power, cooling and reliability.

Sustainability and energy
ESG and sustainability are no longer a side issue, now critical to infrastructure planning, data centres and networks are using larger amounts of electricity and their expansion now depends on affordable, but reliable power.
Infrastructure projects can bring jobs and connectivity, but they can also raise environmental and land-use concerns, as a result, sessions will explore how digital infrastructure companies can work with energy providers to secure green power and reduce environmental impact.
AI to drive capacity
Capacity LATAM 2026 will look at whether the region can become a competitive location for AI-ready data centres. Much will depend on electricity prices, access to renewable energy and the ability to attract skilled workers, creating both opportunities and pressure.
However, AI also raises questions about inclusion, for example. If new infrastructure is built only in major cities, smaller markets may fall behind.
As a result, event sessions are expected to discuss how operators can extend high-capacity networks to secondary cities and industrial zones so that AI and automation benefit a wider population.
Subsea remains a key topic
Despite LATAM’s geography making network building difficult, with long coastlines, mountains and large distances between cities, new subsea routes are improving links with North America, Europe and Africa, while domestic fibre projects aim to reduce dependence on a few main corridors.
Discussions will focus on how operators can design stronger, more resilient networks while keeping costs under control.
Different sub-regions face different challenges, for example, the Andean markets, Central America and the Southern Cone all require tailored strategies.

Investment and market structure
Digital infrastructure in Latin America has become attractive to private equity and long-term investors because of strong demand and long contracts. Alongside this, as networks and data centres grow, mergers and acquisitions become more common.
As a result, at the event, panels will explore how investors judge risk in emerging markets and how clear regulations can encourage more capital.
