Capacity has announced the launch of the Power50: Middle East, to celebrate the individuals driving the region’s next phase of connectivity, innovation, and growth.

The Power 50: Middle East 2026 will honour the visionaries, innovators, and decision-makers transforming the region’s digital ecosystem. From telecom operators and data centre providers to cloud specialists and policymakers, the powerlist will spotlight the people and projects at the forefront of the region’s digital acceleration.

Set to be unveiled at Capacity Middle East 2026, the initiative marks a milestone moment for the industry as the region continues to position itself as a global powerhouse for digital transformation and infrastructure investment.

“Digital infrastructure is the foundation of innovation and economic diversification in the Middle East,” said Vanessa Barbe, managing director at Capacity.
“This powerlist will shine a light on the exceptional talent, vision, and collaboration driving the region’s connectivity revolution.”

The Middle East’s digital economy is experiencing unprecedented momentum. Investment in subsea cable systems, hyperscale data centres, fibre networks, and cloud platforms is surging, while governments and private players alike are accelerating national digital agendas.

Against this backdrop, Capacity’s new powerlist aims to celebrate the people making it happen, those who are not only building the infrastructure of today but also defining the strategies, partnerships, and technologies that will shape tomorrow’s connected Middle East.

The powerlist will bring together leaders from across the entire digital value chain, including telecom operators, hyperscalers, data centre executives, fibre and subsea network specialists, policymakers, and technology entrepreneurs.

Nominees will be assessed on four key criteria:

  • Leadership – their role in driving strategic direction and organisational success.
  • Innovation – the introduction of new technologies, models, or solutions that advance connectivity.
  • Impact – measurable contributions to economic, social, or industry-wide progress.
  • Contribution – their influence on the development of the Middle East’s broader digital infrastructure landscape.
