During the event, the company will highlight its network footprint spanning more than 16,000 miles of optical fibre cable and 255 points of presence.

Eletronet, an Axia Energia company and a recognised provider in telecommunications and IT, has confirmed its participation in International Telecoms Week 2026 (ITW). The leading global event for telecommunications infrastructure will take place May 18–21 in Washington, D.C., United States, and is expected to bring together more than 7,000 decision-makers from the global telecom industry, representing companies from over 120 countries.

During the event, Eletronet will highlight its network footprint spanning more than 16,000 miles of optical fibre cable and 255 points of presence (PoP), strategically interconnected with the main submarine cables landing in Brazil. With infrastructure fully based on OPGW technology, Eletronet operates under stringent NATO resilience standards, ensuring high availability for mission-critical applications.

In addition to its nationwide footprint connected to Brazil’s 36 largest data centres (DCs), Eletronet maintains a global presence with PoPs in Miami and New York.

At ITW 2026, Eletronet aims to demonstrate the full potential of its high-resilience, scalable infrastructure, positioning itself as a trusted provider for global players, including telecom operators, Big Tech companies, and data centres seeking high-quality connectivity in Brazil.

Eletronet executives will be available for strategic meetings focused on long-term partnerships across Latin America.

“This year at ITW, Eletronet is introducing a new position: Innovation to go further. By the end of 2026, we will have more than 255 edge data centres deployed across more than 23 Brazilian states. We will be ready to connect our network to other South American countries, including Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay,” said Cassio Ricardo Lehmann, Marketing and Sales Director at Eletronet.

Innovation and 1.6T high-capacity performance with Ciena

Through its collaboration with Ciena, a global leader in high-speed connectivity, the company uses advanced coherent optical technology, WaveLogic 6 Extreme (WL6e), which is capable of delivering up to 1.6Tb/s capacity. This performance has been validated in recent metropolitan network tests, confirming that the infrastructure is prepared to support the significant traffic demands driven by artificial intelligence and large-scale cloud ecosystems.

This commitment to innovation enables Eletronet to deliver greater efficiency and lower latency across all its routes.
