Maverick Investments limited, part of the globally respected UAE based Siraj Holdings Group, and Henox Data Centers, a leader in sustainable and cutting-edge digital infrastructure, today announced a historic strategic partnership to significantly accelerate the development of Tamil Nadu’s digital and green energy ecosystem.
The collaboration establishes a consortium under Project Horizon, a dual-focus mega-initiative centred on next-generation green energy and mission-critical digital infrastructure. The project is backed by an intended investment of up to ₹50,000 Crore, earmarked for the development of a Cable Landing Station, advanced subsea cable systems, a 100 MW green data centre, and a large-scale solar energy facility.
Key components of Project Horizon
100 MW Green Data Centre: The consortium will design, construct, develop, maintain, and manage all aspects of a 100 MW Green Data Centre on a scalable basis on a suitable land parcel. The Siraj Holdings Group confirms its keen interest in being a core consortium member and intends to make an initial equity capital investment of up to INR 200 Crores toward the data centre component.
Cable Landing Station & Subsea Cables: A part of the investment will be channelled into developing cable landing station & subsea cables in the region to complement and power the data centre infrastructure.
Solar Energy Integration: A substantial portion of the investment will be used to develop large-scale solar energy projects in the region to power the data centre infrastructure, ensuring the entire operation adheres to the highest global standards of sustainability and minimises its carbon footprint.
A global transformation for Tamil Nadu
This monumental investment is poised to transform Tamil Nadu’s economic and technological landscape, positioning the state as a key node on the global digital and green energy map. Project Horizon is expected to generate thousands of direct and indirect jobs, attract ancillary industries, and establish a robust digital ecosystem for South India.
