News Summary

  • Vodafone utilises Inter.link’s connectivity platform to streamline interconnection across Europe
  • The solution will also deliver seamless, high quality, and automated paths across Vodafone’s wider global network infrastructure.
  • Initial agreement covers Germany with plans to extend interconnection service to all Vodafone core EU markets.

Inter.link, a leader in automation and innovation within the network community, announced that Vodafone has selected its platform to launch a new model of interconnection across Europe.

Inter.link’s FlexEthernet solution makes it quicker and more efficient to establish an interconnection between different networks for organisations of any size to gain a streamlined, reliable connection end-to-end.

Vodafone will deploy Inter.link’s automated connectivity platform across several markets. This will allow third-party mobile and fixed broadband service providers of any size to quickly scale capacity into Vodafone’s fixed and mobile access networks to serve their own customers.

The first deployment begins in Germany, with further rollouts planned across multiple European markets. By embedding Inter.link’s solution at the edge of Vodafone’s networks, high-quality and responsive services can be scaled more quickly. This model allows Vodafone to focus on providing an enhanced service to other mobile network operators and broadband providers in a boost to its existing carrier services model while Inter.link’s automation reduces complexity and accelerates the customer journey with a single login and one-click provisioning.

Theo Voss, Co-Founder & CEO, Inter.link, said: “The global need for best-in-class connectivity is driven by quality, scale and flexibility – core values of Inter.link’s mission. With our global connectivity platform, we provide the perfect ecosystem for Europe’s top broadband providers, enabling Vodafone to reduce complexity while delivering high-quality interconnectivity at scale.”

This agreement aligns with broader industry trends towards simplified, high-performance interconnection. For example, Google’s recently launched Verified Peering Provider program, of which Inter.link is a Gold Partner, similarly supports the markets shift to an increased end-user experience and service quality, while significantly reducing complexity.

In addition to Europe, content publishers, service providers/ISPs and enterprises can also leverage Inter.link’s automated platform for improved latency, resiliency and quality when connecting to Vodafone’s wider global network infrastructure.
