As a result, the move will give Orange full ownership of the brand further consolidating its presence in Spain, the company’s second-largest market in Europe.
According to the company, the move is seen as a key step in advancing Orange’s “Lead the Future” strategic plan, which aims to strengthen its market position and drive long-term growth.
In a statement, the telecoms giant expects to sign a binding agreement before the end of 2025, pending agreement on final terms and conditions. The transaction will also be reviewed by employee representatives and will require regulatory approval before completion.
If all conditions are met, the deal is expected to be finalised in the first half of next year.
