The new landing station at Cyta’s Yeroskipos will connect Italy with several Mediterranean countries and extend to Jordan.
It is also part of the larger Blue and Raman Submarine Cable Systems, developed with Google and other partners, reaching as far as Mumbai, India.
With four fibre pairs and a total design capacity of over 25 Terabits per second (Tbps) per pair, the system provides fast, low-latency, and scalable connectivity across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the company revealed.
The move also aims to strengthen connections between Cyprus, Greece and other Mediterranean countries, offering direct links to Greece, Western and Central Europe, via Genoa and Marseille and the Levant.
