According to a filing submitted to the Washington State Employment Security Department, the document reveals that more than 200 distinct job roles will be impacted, including positions such as analysts, engineers, and technicians, as well as managers and directors.

Nearly 210 of those impacted hold senior or director-level roles, and another seven hold vice president or senior vice president titles.

Among them are a senior vice president of talent and four vice presidents in legal affairs. Workers were notified 60 days in advance, with layoffs scheduled to take effect on 2 April 2026.

The employees who will lose their jobs work at the company’s headquarters in Bellevue, its data centres in Bellevue and East Wenatchee and numerous retail and operational locations.

“As the next step in our evolution, we’re making some changes while continuing to hire to ensure we have the right focus, structure and momentum to keep changing the industry through innovation and a long-standing focus on customers,” the company said in an emailed statement.

The telecoms giant also added that it was responding to “a dynamic market.”

This comes as a raft of technology and tech companies, including Amazon, Ericsson and Oracle have recently announced job cuts.
