Pestridge, who brings more than 20 years of experience in the data centre and service provider industry, steps up from his previous role as EVP and general manager, where he served on the board with responsibility for strategic leadership and operations.
Paul Lewis succeeds Pestridge in that role, having previously served as SVP and leader of technical services, with board-level responsibility for strategy, operations, construction and design.
Pestridge takes over from Kenkichi Honda, who moves to become CEO and managing director of KDDI Europe, the wholly owned subsidiary of KDDI Corporation, the Japanese telecommunications group that is Telehouse’s parent company.
“I’m passionate about making Telehouse a great place to work, where people can collaborate, thrive and achieve great things together,” said Pestridge.
“When we create that kind of environment, it naturally translates into a better experience for our customers and stronger outcomes for the business.”
Both Pestridge and Lewis have been central to the continued expansion of Telehouse’s London Docklands campus, Europe’s most connected data centre site, including the launch of Telehouse South and the recently announced £275 million Telehouse West Two development.
Honda said the pair “bring a strong combination of leadership, operational expertise and customer focus,” adding they are well placed to support customers with increasingly complex infrastructure needs.
As part of the changes, Takayo Takamuro, former European Bloc Chief for KDDI Europe, has returned to Japan to take up a new role in the government and financial sectors.
