He succeeds interim Nicolas Mahler, who has held the position of interim CEO since September, in addition to his role as CFO at the company.
Bouchard has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, having most recently held the position of CEO of American Tower Germany (ATC). Before this he was COO at DFMG Deutsche Funkturm GmbH, a position he held for over just under three years.
Additionally, he held various leadership positions at Deutsche Telekom, including VP of targets, key measures and fixed networks.
Commenting on his appointment, Bouchard said: “The telecommunications infrastructure industry is undergoing an exciting period of change.
“Vantage Towers is excellently positioned to play a leading role in this. I would like to thank the supervisory board for their trust and look forward to working with the team to seize these opportunities and continue Vantage Towers’ success story.”
Vantage Towers chairman of the supervisory board, Michael Bird, added: “We are delighted to have Martin Bouchard, a proven expert in the tower and telecommunications industry, join Vantage Towers.
“With his long track record of success, he is exactly the right manager to lead Vantage Towers through this growth phase. We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to Nicolas Mahler, who is successfully managing the company as interim CEO until Martin Bouchard takes up his position.”
