In this role, Baccouche will work with Enrico Maria Bagnasco, CEO of Sparkle and Chair of the GLF Board, and other members to guide the forum’s work and support collaboration among leading international ICT providers.
Commenting on the appointment, Baccouche said: “I am honoured to be elected vice chair of the GLF Board at such an important moment for our industry.
“The GLF is a unique platform where global leaders come together to strengthen partnerships, share insights, and shape the future of connectivity. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow Board Members to drive transformation, foster innovation, and ensure our community continues to keep the world connected in a new era shaped by AI.”
Bagnasco, who has been chair of the Board since June this year, added: “It is my great pleasure to congratulate Nabil on his election as vice chair, and to welcome Obaid and Andres to the GLF Board.
“Each of them brings invaluable experience, leadership, and commitment to our shared mission. Together, I am confident this strengthened Board will continue to guide the GLF in delivering meaningful impact for our industry.”
Joining Baccouche on the GLF Board are two further appointments, which includes Obaid Rahman, who returns representing TNS Global in his new role as CEO and Andres Proaño, chief revenue officer of BTS, elected to the Board for the first time.
